I used to have this thick black wavy hair which is so hard to manage. I really hated it so much that's why I convinced my mom to bring me to a salon and have it fixed. The most popular hair straightening process before was hair relax. Although it was a bit pricey, my mom resorted to it just to allow me to stop whining how bad my hair is. I think she paid around 1k just to have everything done, but it was more affordable compared to hair Rebonding which was rumored to cost around 5k. (dati pa yun ha?)
For the next years after that, I regularly brought myself to a salon to have my hair done. I started to resort to rebonding when I was in my 4th year college already since I've heard that aside from the fact that it is effective, it won't damage my hair as much as relaxing.
Now that I am 22, I still have my hair rebonded just to have it stiff straight. I feel more confident that way.

Anyways, I do visit salons from time to time to get my every 2 weeks or month mani/ped. Everytime I step into one with a gay beautician, they always notice my long mixture of straight and long hair. They keep recommending hair treatments, like hair wax, hair spa, highlights, milk spa, etc. etc etc. No matter how tempting they may sound like, I just smile at them and not let everything get into my head.
I do have a bunch of gay friends and I am quite familiar with their convincing tactics not only to get customers but also to get service tips. If you are wise enough and know yourself more, you won't be fooled.
However, I do take some advices from my beautician gay friends, especially on how to take care of my hair. As you can see, my hair is damaged mainly because of trying to straighten it for the past 8 years. which is also the reason why i have a lot of hair products at home. Well, not really a LOT, just a bit over than the regular.

One of the recent ones that my mom bought for me for my hair care was the Hair Treats hair spa in macadamia.
(Hair Treats Hair Spa in Macademia)
It is my first time to actually read the word macadamia so for my benefit and for you too, i did my homework.
(Macademia Nuts)
Macadamia is a nut. And the ingredient that they produce from it is the oil. There are some article writers who refer to this nut oil as the nearly perfect one.
Here are some of the reasons why:
1. Macadamia nut oil is rich in calcium, B complex, phosphorus and iron.
2. It is a natural moisturizer and emollient. Emollients attract and trap moisture from the air.
3. Because it is light and non-greasy our hair can easily absorb the oil.
4. It is also good fr your cuticles, foot heels and elbows.
As I have read the article about macadamia oil, I'm getting more and more interested with the product. Of course, it may not be that 100% effective since it's a commercial one, at least you will somehow get effects, right?
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: It's one of the natural ways to revive full bodied and nourished hair, leaving hair soft, shiny and manageable.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: After shampooing, massage thoroughly onto hair and work evenly through the ends. Leave on your scalp for 15 minutes.
PROS:
- The product is really creamy, a little could already go a long way.
- It has that strong soft scent that smells really smells good. The moment you open the cap, you will immediately smell the goodness of the product.
- Less than 200 for 250 grams. Affordable, right?
- It leaves my hair soft and smooth to touch afterwards and the day after.
CONS:
- The strong soft scent might be too strong to others.
- The container is quite big to be brought when travelling. ( you may want to transfer it to a small container )
I'm not sure if this will work for every hair type. I just wish that the softness will last on my hair for days even if i will just use a regular conditioner after shampoo.
I hope you had a great time reading. Thank you!
